Design: Grids
Have you ever thought about buying a car, and as soon as you think you have a model you like you start seeing them everywhere? That seems to be happening to me, but with patterns. I'm starting to notice my world in new ways and seeing patterns where I'd never noticed them before. The photo above was staring me in the face and I had to jump out of a car to capture the shot. It was a compulsive, instinctual need that I'd never felt before. Just last night I was playing with a series of grid patterns. Now they're everywhere!
These designs still need some work, but I'm hoping to make a series of textile prints out of them. Keep your eyes peeled. You never know where the next pattern is going to strike!
